Samsung Serene –

My subscribers are already familiar with the Danish company Bang&Olufsen, which makes expensive audio systems and occasionally collaborates with mobile phone manufacturers.
In the review, this time not Ericsson, but Samsung Serene (SGH-E910). B&O developed the design, Samsung developed the technical part, and this model was supposed to compete with the Nokia 8800.
This phone, which cost about 1000 euros at the time of its release, has the best screen for a phone of its age. Among the unique features, it is also worth noting the “unfolded” orientation – in the hand the phone is facing downward with the screen, when connected to the docking station, it flips over. The circular keypad resembles Nokia 3650, but in our case, a movable joystick ring with 4 keys under it is used. You get used to such a decision pretty quickly, despite its unusualness.
The coolest feature is the automatic open/close mechanism. It is turned on as a separate option in the settings, and visually looks like a slow independent movement, accompanied by a very pleasant buzzing sound. The company already had developments of similar electric motors, let us recall, for example, the N400 Pininfarina model with an auto-retractable antenna.
The phone comes with a heavy metal stand combined with a charging cable. The phone looks quite harmonious with it.
Unfortunately, this fashion model has a “childhood” plume disease – over time, horizontal orange stripes appear on the screen (it is believed that this is a marriage).
For me personally, this phone left a vivid impression – it is unique, surprises everyone, cooler than much that I have seen before.
True, its media component is not entirely clear – 27 Mb of internal memory and the limitation on mp3-format does not allow it to be used as a multimedia device, and for 2005 this was already an unacceptable circumstance.
A little later I plan to make a short video review – you will see this unique phone and hear the sound of its opening 🙂

Bang & Olufsen Beocom 9600 GSM,

In our review today, the B&0 Beocom 9600 GSM is a 1996-1998 mobile phone created by company designer Henrik Sørig Thomsen in collaboration with Ericsson. The latest photos is made for comparison between twin brother – Ericsson GA628. The batteries are not identical – B&O has slightly changed its upper part, and the Ericsson battery does not fit. Alas, it was not possible to turn it on..
Although this is not the main thing in collecting, is it true? 🙂
