Почти все экземпляры моей коллекции приобретаются преимущественно по принципу “кот в мешке”. Устройства очень древние, всегда с разряженными аккумуляторами, без зарядных устройств, с неизвестной судьбой и в неизвестном состоянии.
Именно такая ситуация произошла и с нынешним героем обзора – еще одним чемоданом Siemens C3. Телефон как оказалось работает в стандарте C-Netz (или 1G) и уже не сможет полноценно работать с современными sim-картами и сетями.
Это – первый в истории компании Siemens телефон GSM-стандарта, который был выпущен в 1994 году, и ее единственный “чемодан”.
Вес телефона – 2,45 кг, он так же как и Motorola разбирается на телефонный блок и все остальное. Субъективно кажется, что антенна здесь реализована не очень удобно – она не откидывается набок и постоянно торчит вверх. Аккумулятор применен уже NiCd, а не свинцовый. Сама телефонная трубка значительно больше чем у Motorola и соразмерна трубке крупного домашнего телефона. Этот Siemens предназначен для ношения через плечо как сумка, а Motorola – за ручку без ремня.

Almost all of the items in my collection are purchased primarily on a “pig in a poke” basis. The devices are very ancient, always with discharged batteries, without chargers, with an unknown fate and in an unknown state.
This is exactly the situation with the current hero of the review – another suitcase named Siemens C3 . The phone works only in the C-Netz (or 1G) standard and will no longer be able to fully work with modern sim cards and networks.
This is the 1st GSM phone ever released by Siemens company in 1994, and its only “suitcase” by Siemens.
The weight of the phone is 5.4 lb, just like Motorola it can be disassembled into a telephone unit and everything else. Subjectively, it seems that the antenna is implemented here not very conveniently – it does not lean to one side and constantly sticks up. The battery is already NiCd, not lead acid. The handset itself is significantly larger than that of Motorola and is proportional to the handset of a large home telephone. This Siemens is designed to be carried over the shoulder like a bag, while Motorola is designed to be carried by the handle without a strap.
