Более месяца я не писал, виной тому напряженность в рабочем графике.
Возвращаюсь к любимой теме с обзором очередного телефона-чемодана – Siemens P1.
Ранее я уже обозревал похожий на него Siemens C3 (и тогда ошибочно указал модель S1). Данный аппарат отличается многими моментами от предыдущего Siemens – и в первую очередь он еще может выполнять свою телефонную функцию просто потому, что он работает в стандарте GSM. И как было установлено опытным путем – даже принимает любые sim-карты (в отличие от Motorola International 1000, который был ранее в обзоре и который “кушает” только sim-карты старого образца). Разными в аппаратах являются трубки, разъемы их соединения, способы вставки sim-карты – в целом это совершенно разные телефоны одной марки.
Телефон поступил очень грязным, без антенны, зарядного, аккумулятора, с впаянными в корпус проводами питания, но оказался рабочим! В процессе чистки трубки отпал разъем слухового динамика – пришлось просить припаять на работе. Далее при сборке отпал разъем микрофона – тут помогла пластиковая стяжка. Я убежден, что пластик, как и металл, подвержен “усталости”, поэтому желательно внутрь подобных девайсов не попадать без крайней необходимости.
Вес телефона – 2,25 кг, антенну я использовал от какого-то Senao (длина 1,5 метра в разложенном состоянии!), зарядное – то же, что и с Siemens C3 (13.3V от HP Jornada 690).

Returning to my favorite topic with a review of another suitcase phone – Siemens P1.
Earlier I have already reviewed Siemens C3 similar to it (and then I mistakenly indicated the S1 model). This device differs in many aspects from the previous Siemens – and first of all, it can still perform its telephone function simply because it works in the GSM standard. And as it was established empirically, it even accepts any sim cards (unlike Motorola International 1000, which was previously in the review and which “eats” only old sim cards). Handsets, connectors for their connection, methods of inserting a SIM card are different in the devices – in general, these are completely different phones of the same brand.
The phone arrived very dirty, without an antenna, charger, battery, with power wires soldered into the case, but it turned out to be working! In the process of cleaning the tube, the connector of the earpiece fell off – I had to ask for soldering at work. Further, during assembly, the microphone connector fell off – a plastic tie helped here. I am convinced that plastic, like metal, is susceptible to “fatigue”, so it is advisable not to get inside such devices unless absolutely necessary.
The weight of the phone is 2.25 kg, I used the antenna from some Senao (1.5 meters long when unfolded!), The charger is the same as with Siemens C3 (13.3V from HP Jornada 690).
