Немного расскажу об истории компании Lenovo, телефон которой в сегодняшнем обзоре.
Государственная компания New Technology Developer Inc. была создана 10-ю членами Китайской академии наук в 1984 году, через пару лет переименовавшись в Legend.
Важным событием стал выпуск в 1999 г. первого ноутбука под лозунгом “Одно касание для сети”, ориентированного на доступ к Интернету и ставшего для миллионов китайцев первым шагом в онлайн.
В 2000 г. Legend удалось войти в мировой ТОП-10 компьютерных производителей.
В 2003 г. Legend сменила на звание на Lenovo, что дословно можно перевести как “счастье нового”.
Важным шагом к повышению узнаваемости бренда Lenovo стало заключение в 2004 г. соглашения о партнерстве с Международным Олимпийским Комитетом в качестве поставщика техники.
В 2004 г. заключено соглашение с IBM, в рамках которого к Lenovo перешло за $1,25 млрд подразделение, занимавшееся выпуском компьютеров и ноутбуков. В итоге в мае 2005 г. Lenovo стала третьим крупнейшим производителем компьютеров в мире после Dell и Hewlett-Packard.
В 2006 году начались продажи 3-го телефона компании – смартфона ET980, по форм-фактору визуально схожий с популярным в то время Sony Ericsson P800/P900. Телефон работает под управлением Windows Mobile 5.0, имеет 4-мпикс (!) камеру со вспышкой. Однако тогда для Lenovo мобильные устройства еще не были приоритетом и их продажи ограничивались Китаем.
Чтобы ответить на входящий вызов – не обязательно откидывать клавиатуру. Достаточно нажать на ней клавишу “Прием”. Если клавиатуру откинуть – коммуникатор переходит в обычный режим Windows Mobile.
Особенностью телефона является то, что возможно отсоединение накладной клавиатуры и подключение стандартной клавиатуры с четырьмя нижними клавишами. Кроме того в стандартном комплекте шла bluetooth-гарнитура.
